Hualien, Taiwan, where a relaxing vacation is the norm

The city of Hualien will surprise you. It is not as vibrant, busy and crowded compared to Taipei, the reasons why you will enjoy a vacation in Hualien.

Located on the east coast of Taiwan facing the Pacific Ocean, the city is where you can enjoy fresh air, a laid back atmosphere and fantastic scenery. Although it is Eastern Taiwan’s second largest city, it is more provincial compared to the larger cities of Taiwan. It does not boast of modern infrastructures or theme parks, it is a city that will seduce you with its scenery, country side, natural wonders and temples.  Must visits include the Tunnel of Nine Turns, Qinghsui Cliff, Eternal Spring Shrine, Golden Canyon, Taroko Gorge, Hsiangte Temple, Baiyang Waterfall, Baci Observation Tower, Chinzu Temple, and the Swallow Grotto. You must also check out the Hualien Railway Cultural Museum, and the Chihsing Tan Katsuo Museum. You can also enjoy a number of tours including Hiking and Camping tours, Climbing tours, Canyoning & Rappelling tours, and Sightseeing tours.
